Letting the outside decide the inside.

Its all about topography. What do you see outside, how did you grow up, what are the natural elements you love most. Enter “ The Bunker House “. A stunning coastal project in NSW. Here this clever couple have taken materials and muted tones and placed them through this space with stunning precision. Concrete floors and walls keep sensation on our foot like a hot path down to the beach on a summers day. Peach and timber tones are swirls in the sky of a January sunset. The curves of the tub , mirror and tapware are the curves of the sandy bay winding its way past the home outside the window.
This space has a huge focus on natural light, a stunning view of the ocean, a little secret into where the mood-board of this design derived.
So what are the elements you need to give your space that contemporary coastal vibe :
Muted tones - Tones that speak of nature are a must, keep it dusty and funky.
Natural elements - Concrete, timber, brass, tiles with a natural feel. All of these elementscombined together will give your space a nice reference to the magic waiting outside.
Natural Light - Where possible, letting a little outside in will do a lot of the work for you.
Sharp Lines and Minimal Placement - Keep your choices high end and minimal, spaciousness iskey for a space to feel contemporary coastal .
